it is now accepted by the NFL (National Football League) that scientists in the USA have proven what should have been obvious during the decades of the sport:
the modern-spectacle gladiators in America's football stadia are often seriously and permanently injured by "brain concussions" when they smash into each other.
such a sport requires regards a popular, dull brain over brawn to do and enjoy watching anyway, and this also has lead to this slow recognition of the obvious by gladiators and spectators, and recently in a settlement with the current organizers of the spectacles, the NFL.
and as prosaic, painful and mundane as this all seems, it is all of very deeply telling, interrelated facts of the relation of mankind (in this example, in America) to his body and mind, outer and inner life, outer and inner activities, including the belated recognition of the inner physical brain damage, which is the meeting place of brain and brawn, whether there be brain over brawn, or brawn over brain...
the questions and facts here go back at least to Plato.
